Introduction

Journey Report allows the user to monitor the movement of any asset or vehicle within a user-defined period of time.


Journey Report includes entries at 5 (five) minutes intervals of updated asset location throughout the course of the journey.


Generating a Journey Report

Journey Report is generated by:

 

1. Go to Reports → Journey Report

2. Set the Start Date (mandatory) and End Date (optional) by typing them in or by clicking on the calendar icons.

3. Select the Start Time, End Time (optional) from their respective drop-down menus.

4. Select the Asset (mandatory) from its respective drop-down menu. 

5. Click the Generate button to generate the report.


All generated reports can be supplemented by extra information, such as DateTimeLocationCityCountryDurationDistance (in m), Average Speed (in km/h) and the Top Speed (in km/h). To add such information:

 

1. Hover over any column header in the report.

2. Click on the down downwards triangle arrowhead (). 

3. Hover over Columns from the drop-down menu.

4. Choose the information to be included from the side menu.

 

Reports can be sorted in an ascending or descending order using a particular column as the sorting point. To sort the report using a particular column:

 

1. Hover over the required column header in the report.

2. Click on the down downwards triangle arrowhead (). 

3. Select between Sort Ascending and Sort Descending from the drop-down menu.

 

Journey Reports can be either printed, exported to Microsoft Excel, Exported as CSV file by clicking the PrintExport to Excel or Export to CSV buttons respectively.



Journey Visualisation

Single Location Visualisation

Upon clicking on any entry in the generated Journey Report, the actual location will be shown on the mini map in the Locations window. The said window can be minimised by clicking on the down-pointing arrowhead.

 

The map style can be changed to GoogleSatellite or Grey scale by choosing the desired style from the Map drop-down menu.

 

The map can be zoomed in by clicking the Zoom in button or by rotating the mouse wheel in a forward direction, on the other hand, it can be zoomed out similarly, either by clicking the Zoom out button or rotating the mouse wheel in a backward direction.

 

Full-screen view can be obtained by clicking the Toggle Fullscreen View button.  To exit the fullscreen view, press the Escape (Esc) button.

 

Whole Journey Visualisation

The whole journey can be visualised as time and speed colour-coded trail on the map by clicking the Show Trail on Map button.

 

The journey can be played by clicking the Play button once the trail is shown on the map, the speed of the animation can be adjusted using the Fast and Slow buttons. The animation can also be paused by clicking the Pause button.

 

The map style can be changed to GoogleSatellite or Grey scale by choosing the desired style from the Map drop-down menu.

 

The map can be zoomed in by clicking the Zoom in button or using the mouse wheel.

 

Full-screen view can be obtained by clicking the Toggle Fullscreen View button. To exit the full-screen view, press the Escape (Esc) button.

 

Street view can be obtained by dragging the Pegman onto the map.
