Introduction
A Temperature Report allows the user to monitor the temperature data obtained either from the sensors connected directly to an installed unit, or through the OBD (On-Board Diagnostics) dongle.
Reports
There are 2 (two) types of Temperature Reports; Temperature Sensor Report and Engine Temperature Report.
Temperature Sensor Report
A report showing the temperature data as collected from temperature sensors directly connected with the installed device.
Engine Temperature Report
A report showing the engine temperature as picked up from the OBD dongle. For the time being, such reports can only be generated for vehicles equipped with Logic IO units.
Generating a Temperature Report
Temperature Sensor Report
A Temperature Sensor Report is generated by:
1. Go to Reports → Temperature Report → Temperature Sensor Report
2. Set the Start Date (mandatory) and End Date (optional) by typing them in or by clicking on the calendar icons.
3. Select the Start Time, End Time (optional) from their respective drop-down menus.
4. Select the Sensor (mandatory) from its respective drop-down menu.
5. Select the Reading Average from its respective drop-down menu. Reading Average can either be 1 (showing every single reading recorded by the selected temperature sensor), 3 (showing an average of every 3 readings recorded by the selected temperature sensor), 4 (showing an average of every 4 readings recorded by the selected temperature sensor), 30 (showing an average of every 30 readings recorded by the selected temperature sensor), and 60 (showing an average of every 60 readings recorded by the selected temperature sensor).
6. Click the Generate button to generate the report.
It is important to note that temperature readings, obtained directly from the installed device, is processed and recorded at around 4-minutes intervals, therefore:
- A reading frequency of 1 will show an average of the recorded temperature every 4 to 5 minutes.
- A reading frequency of 3 will show an average of the recorded temperature every 10 to 12 minutes.
- A reading frequency of 4 will show an average of the recorded temperature every 15 to 16 minutes.
- A reading frequency of 30 will show an average of the recorded temperature every 2 hours (120 minutes).
- A reading frequency of 60 will show an average of the recorded temperature every 4 hours (240 minutes).
Engine Temperature Report
An Engine Temperature Report is generated by:
1. Go to Reports → Temperature Report → Engine Temperature Report
2. Set the Start Date (mandatory) and End Date (optional) by typing them in or by clicking on the calendar icons.
3. Select the Start Time, End Time (optional) from their perspective drop-down menus.
4. Select the Sensor (mandatory) from its perspective drop-down menu.
5. Select the Reading Average from its perspective drop-down menu.

Temperature reports, both Temperature Sensor Reports and Engine Temperature Reports, can be represented by a graph. This can be done by clicking the Show Graph button.
All generated reports can be sorted in an ascending or descending order using a particular column as the sorting point. To sort the report using a particular column:
1. Hover over the required column header in the report.
2. Click on the down downwards triangle arrowhead (⏷).
3. Select between Sort Ascending and Sort Descending from the drop-down menu.
Temperature Reports can be either printed, exported to Microsoft Excel, Exported as CSV file by clicking the Print, Export to Excel or Export to CSV buttons respectively.
