Introduction


Geofencing menu provides management options for the user-created geofences. The menu allows the user to either show or hide the geofences from the map, as well as altering them as deemed  fit.


Creating a Geofence


A user can create a geofence to receive notification alerts once entering a geofenced zone.

To create a geofence, the following steps should be followed:


1. Go to Geofencing → Manage

2. Click the "New" button in the displayed geofence panel on the right.

3. Start clicking around the intended area for the geofence. With each click, a red map marker will be added to the map.

4. Click on the first map marker once ready, to close the generated polygon, geofencing the designated area.

5. Click the "Done" button in the geofence panel on the right.

6. The newly created geofence, named "New" by default will become available in the geofence panel.

7. Double click the geofence name to change it.

8. Click "Done".  


Showing Geofences


User-created Geofences can be displayed in the map field of the Live Tracking tab. 


To show the geofence(s), go to Geofencing → Show


Geofenced area(s) will appear shaded in red in the map field of the Live Tracking tab. 


Hiding Geofences


User-created Geofences can be hidden from the map field of the Live Tracking tab. 


To show the geofence(s), go to Geofencing → Hide


Resizing a Geofence


User-created geofences can be easily resized and redefined after deployment.

To resize a geofence, the following steps should be followed:


1. Go to Geofencing → Manage

2. Click on any point within the red field of the geofence polygon.

3. Drag any of the red map markers to resize the geofence and redefine its boundaries.

4. The new geofence will be autosaved.

5. Refresh the web page.


For double checking, show the geofences by going to Geofencing → Show. The geofence will be available under its original name together with its newly defined boundaries.
