Introduction


The Devices/Assets menu item allows the administrator to gain an overview of the installed devices in his/her fleet's vehicle, together with an overview of billings and subscription renewals.


Assets Lookup


An administrator can lookup particular asset(s) in Fleet. 

To look up asset(s) details, the following steps should be followed:


1. Click on "Administration" in the menu bar.

2. Click on "Devices/Assets" from the drop-down menu. The list of the current Fleet users will be displayed.

3. From the newly displayed View Assets tab, the administrator can lookup all the installed assets by accepting the default parameters and clicking on the "Search" button.

4. Search results can be refined by editing the following parameters:

  • Domain: Choose the appropriate domain from the drop-down menu to start searching for the Asset/Device in.
  • Device Status: Choose the appropriate status for the requested device(s). The administrator can choose between All Statuses (Lookup the requested asset or device regardless its state), Faulty (Lookup the requested asset or device among the faulty devices. Faulty devices can be marked so only through HandsOn Systems Technical or Support team member), Installed (Lookup the requested asset or device among the already installed devices in the administrator's fleet), Available (Lookup the requested asset or device among the assets available for installation. Such search criteria is available only for HandsOn Systems Technical and Support team members, and will render no search results to the end-user), Deleted (Lookup the requested asset or device among the deleted devices. Deleted devices can be marked so only through HandsOn Systems Technical or Support team member), and Closed (Lookup the requested asset or device among the closed devices. A closed device is a device with suspended service and remains available on the end-user's account for data retention purposes. Closed devices can be marked so only through HandsOn Systems Technical or Support team member).
  • Device Make: Choose the appropriate Device/Asset make from the drop-down menu. 
  • Device Model: Choose the appropriate Device/Asset model from the drop-down menu.
  • Detail: User-defined value to refine the search criteria. The details can be a complete, or part of the Device/Asset name. 

Search results can be filtered further more by applying any of the available filters from the Filter frame. 

Search results can be filtered either by using:

  • Stopped for longer than (days): Filters the search results based on the number of days the asset has been stopped for.
  • Next Bill Date in: Filter the search results based on the coming billing date. To apply this filter, choose the desired billing month from the drop-down menu. 

Moving Assets Between Groups


An administrator can move assets between different groups of his/her fleet, if more than one group exists.

To move assets between groups, the following steps should be followed:


1. Click on "Administration" in the menu bar.

2. Click on "Devices/Assets" from the drop-down menu. The list of the current Fleet users will be displayed.

3. From the newly displayed View Assets tab, type the asset's name or part of it in the Detail field.

4. Click on the "Search" button.

5. Click on the Edit Asset icon of the required asset in the rendered search results list box.

6. In the Asset Detail window, relocate the asset by choosing a new group from the Group drop-down menu.

7. Click "Save". 


Devices/Assets list can be exported to CSV file by clicking the Export to CSV button.
